Cape Cod Dining

Coming here in 1985 was anathema to finding really fine restaurant fare. 20 years later things have changed. The New York influence is here and surviving well. Take 902 Main Street in South Yarmouth, for example. Wow!! What Colleen and husband have accomplished here…their menu to die for!! Even check out the men’s and lady’s restrooms!! Clever, creative, fun to the eye!! This team is so original in so many areas. Pure delight!! In addition…other fine restaurants on the scene: The Roobar/Chatham; The Port/Harwich Port; A’louette/Harwich Port. You won’t be disappointed in any of these!!

Cape Cod December

Filed under: Uncategorized at 5:25 pm on Monday, December 18, 2006

This is unbelievable!! 57 degree weather, no cold and no snow. In my 21 years here I have never felt it warmer this time of year. Global warming for certain? Florida must be scorching!! But Christmas is in the air, regardless. Lights and tinsel aglow!!
So with this thought, makes me yearn for a white Christmas.

Enjoy the Squirrels

Filed under: Uncategorized at 11:14 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2006

It’s Cape Cod Fall into Winter. The squirrels are scampering here and there, on the ground and in the trees squirreling the harvest pumpkin seeds or other foodstuffs for the winter. So interesting… watching them climb the tree, or burying same in ground below…all food for winterfest. Winter is coming upon us here. Think we will squirrel ourselves away for awhile.

Neither the city (definitely) nor even the country have the same feel or look. Sunsets, the sky, and clouds are breathtaking!! It is unique in and of itself. Come for a visit and witness this aura yourself!! alyce
